Advent Calendar, Christmas Village and Birthday Breakfast!

This year for Christmas, I wanted to do something creative for Jason. Last year I did the twelve days of Christmas, so this year I made him a advent calendar or a Christmas countdown. I wrapped gifts for him to open each day. Inside the gifts are candy, peanuts, a CD,a book..etc. He really liked it. It was a lot of fun to make and see him open his gifts.

This is our Christmas Village. We have fun with it. We found this snow that is cold and looks like real snow. It was awesome!

Alison and Becky both had birthdays in November. We always go to lunch or breakfast to celebrate birthdays. This year we went to Kneaders for breakfast. We got their french toast. Yummy! Also it was fun to celebrate Becky's engagement. She is getting married in April. I am so excited for her. It is always wonderful to have great friends!

Carrie Underwood Concert

This last week, Jeff, Sarah, Jason and I all went to the Carrie Underwood concert. We started out by going to dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory. That was really yummy. We ran into my sister at the restaurant. Crazy thing is that she ended up sitting in the table right next to us. It was weird because we didn't know that she was going to be there. Then we got to the concert. Little Big Town was the opening act. I had never heard their music but I really liked it. Then Carrie came out. She really puts on a great show. I loved listening to all of her songs. She has so many great hits. It was a blast! Good Times! Side note: Jeff got us the concert tickets for our wedding gift. He was on his mission when we got married so he didn't get us a gift. So he wanted to take us to the concert. Thanks Jeff, the concert was awesome!

Radio Win Again, Country Dancing and Halloween Pictures!

This last week I was listening to the radio at work. They asked, "Where in the body is the deltoid muscle located?" So i decided to call because I knew the answer was the shoulders and I got into the station and won 4 tickets to the Christmas Gift Expo and a $50 gift certificate to a Studio Soiree for dance classes. I was really excited. Jason and I have had the luck on the radio lately, it is so crazy.

Then also the week before Jason and I went dancing to Studio 10 downtown. We have not been dancing since we have been married. It was so much fun. It felt like we were still dating. We have decided that we need to go dancing more often. Another great thing was that night was free admission, added bonus. Prior to dancing we went a got a steamed milk. They are amazing!
So sorry I have slacked on getting pictures posted from Halloween. We decorated Halloween gingerbread house with our friends.
We carve pumpkins for Halloween. Jason's is the face, Phil's is the spider and mine is the haunted house!
Miller Family Halloween Party. My cousin did an amazing job on the decorations for the party.

Harvey Family Halloween Party. My nieces and nephews are having a fun time with the pinata.

My mom and dad had a birthday so I decided to make them cakes. I made my dad an Ipod touch cake and my mom a purple Ipod nano cake. It was really fun. I decided that I am going to make a cake with fondant for the next birthday.

Halloween fun!

Halloween is a fun holiday! We really enjoy it! Here is some things that we have recently made for Halloween! We are getting excited to go to the pumpkin patch and pick pumpkins. We really like to carve pumpkins! The first picture is Jason and I with our carved pumpkins from last year.
We made these one night! Really easy and fun! We painted and added some stickers and sealed it all in with Mod Pouge. It was fun being creative and trying to find what I had in mind

This is a really fun cake to make! You use round cakes, frost the cake and add sprinkles, and use licorice for legs with some frosting for the feet!

I was having a fun time with clay! It was pretty easy to make! I call it the witch's necessities!

You are Caller 10!!!

Today I was driving to work around 7:40 in the morning and I called Jason to talk to him. He didn't answer because he was on the other line. My first thought was, 'who is Jason talking to this early in the morning.' Then he called me back and said turn the radio station to Country Legends 107.5. So I listened to the station and all of the sudden Jason's voice was on the radio. He was caller ten and just won concert tickets to the Reba McEntire and Kelly Clarkson Concert. You really never hear of anyone winning things on the radio. So we are so excited that he won tickets and that we get to go to the concert. HOORAY!!!

I got tagged!!

I got tagged by my sister Shari, and it too is my first tag! I am supposed to list 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 current obsession/collections and 3 surprising facts, and then tag 5 people and leave a comment on their blog so they know they're tagged! Sorry for the delay!

3 Joys
1-Spending time with Jason like going to the movies, and going to lagoon
2-Being with my family and friends
3-Making things like quilts, crocheting, and being creative

3 Fears
1- Someone close to me dying
2-I am scared of the dark and staying home alone. (I know I am such a baby sometimes) Side note: When Jason is working a graveyard I lock my front door, my bedroom door, set the alarm and turn the TV on. Funny Huh?
3-Not being able to have a big family.

3 Obsessions
1-I love reading the Twilight series! It is so much fun to get involved with books!
2-I love Café Rio. Once a week is not enough and Jason says once a week is too
much.
3- I love Tennis: I really have to play tennis at least two times a week. It is my new favorite thing!

Surprising Facts
1- I went Rock Repelling Aussie Style which is face first (You are practically running down the mountain)
2- I received a 4.0GPA at BYU for three semesters
3- We got through the summer with both of us not really working for money anyways (I did a 14 week internship 40 hours a week for free!) and attending school full-time. Somehow we did not have to rely on our savings or credit cards.

Our Vacation to San Diego!

It has been crazy. We have been on vacation and camping so I have not posted for awhile. Our recent trip to San Diego was a blast. We started by driving to Primm which is just outside of Las Vegas. We stayed at Buffalo Bills. At Buffalo Bills, they have this incredibly high roller coaster ride. We got an all day pass to their rides. It was so much fun. It was a little shaky(you felt like you were getting punched). But overall a good time. We stayed there for two nights. The next day we went back to Las Vegas and went to Circus Circus. We went to the old part and played tons of games. Like the ones you see at an amusement park. We won of few of the games. The next day we started our way to San Diego. We checked into the Bahia Hotel. Great Hotel. It is only five minutes away from Mission Beach. So we got our stuff and headed to the Beach. Jason and I took our boogie boards. I was having a hard time getting the waves and I ended up drinking a ton of salt water. Yuck! But it was good time. That night we had a bonfire on the bay. Mission bay was right outside our door. We ordered pizza and roasted marshmallows for Smores. Yummy! Then we watched the fire works that were going on at Sea World. The next day we went to Sea World. I have never been to Sea World. I loved all of the really fun shows. We sat in the soak zone. We definitely got soaked. We saw the dolphin show, Shamu, Sea Otter show and the circus act show. Jason and I went and feed the dolphins and the sting rays. I also played with the star fish. I really loved Sea World. Then next day we went to the San Diego Temple. Gorgeous inside, I really was taken away. It was so peaceful. The rest of the day we went to the Beach. Played a ton and drank more water(yuck). I did catch some waves, that was awesome. That night we went to Old Town San Diego. The town was very old. It felt like you went back in time fifty years. They had a fun concert going on in the middle of the town. The next day was Jason and mine 2 year anniversary. That went by so fast. So we went to the San Diego Zoo. That is an incredible zoo. The scenery was amazing. We saw everything at the Zoo. My favorite was the panda bears. I think Jason would agree. They were so cute. I wanted to take one home. Then we were off to Buffalo Bills for our final night before we had to go home. The next day we drove home. It was one of the best vacations ever. There was so much to do and not enough time.

Bees Game: Summer Fun

On Monday, Jason and I went to the Bees game with a bunch of friends! I love watching baseball and being with great friends! I remember as a kid, my family would always go watch by brother's baseball games. I loved getting the candy and watching my brother play. It was a great summer past time. This summer, at my job I have been taking the kids outside to play baseball. They really enjoy playing baseball. Overall. I love baseball! We didn't get to see the end of the game because we had to get up early the next day. I know it is lame. However, it was fun and wonderful. We will have to go to another game soon!
